After starting the season 4-0, the DePauw women's soccer team jumped to 17th in the latest NCAA Division III NSCAA Coaches Poll.
The Tigers have outscored their opponents 15-4, and goalkeeper Riley Riordan has recorded two shutouts. DePauw has recorded an overtime win against Piedmont to begin the season and most recently shutout Rose-Hulman 5-0 in their home opener.
Bridget Brendza leads the team with two assists, while nine different Tigers follow with one assist. Riordan has made 11 saves on the year, and her goal against average sits at 0.98.
This upcoming weekend the Tigers play in the Titan Classic at Illinois Wesleyan and have the potential to face Washington (Mo.), who sits third in the rankings.
Williams and William Smith occupy the top two spots as Trinity (Texas) and Centre College round out the top five. Other notables are Thomas More in seventh, Loras in 12th and Ohio Northern in 24th. No other NCAC team is currently in the top 25.
The Tigers face Franklin tonight at 7 p.m. at Reavis Stadium.
