Tigers shutout RHIT

The DePauw women's soccer team improved to 4-0 on the year after shutting out Rose-Hulman on Saturday 5-0.

DePauw displayed a consistent offensive attack with multiple goals in each half. The first, which ended up being the game winner, came from Alex Berkley off a free kick from the top of the box.

DePauw made it a 2-0 game before halftime when Bailey Ehrens scored after a scuffle in front of the net off a pass from Elizabeth Seewer.

It was more DePauw in the second half as freshman Shaili Kumar scored in the 49th minute off an assist from Bridget Brendza. Kumar has now scored four goals in her first four games as a Tiger.

DePauw tallied two more goals later in the game. Kathryn Ruark weaved her way past her defender and scored her third goal of the season in the 83rd minute, and Paige Renfus sunk her first almost four minutes later off an assist from Mallory Dillon.

Riley Riordan was perfect in net, capturing her fourth win after recorded three saves. DePauw outshot Rose-Hulman 9-8.

Up next, the women will look to stay undefeated Wednesday when they host Franklin.
