Tigers Deliver 4-0 Knockout to John Carroll

Danville, Ky. – No overtime heroics were needed Sunday as the DePauw women's soccer team defeated John Carroll 4-0.

It took until the 34th minute for Jen Dimos to hit the game winner off an assist from Alex Berkley. From there the goals kept coming.

Freshman Shalii Kumar scored her second goal of the season at the 44th minute to close the first half as DePauw led 2-0. Rebekah Crone was credited with the assist.

Elizabeth Seewer then covnnected for her first goal of the season off an assist from Bailey Ehrens. Finally, Kathryn Ruark scored in the 86th minute with Paige Renfus on the assist. It was Ruark's second goal of the season as well.

DePauw outshot John Carroll 19-8 and won the corner advantage 12-1. Both keepers made four saves as Riley Riordan improves to 2-0 on the year.

The Tigers return to action Wednesday when they travel to Capital before hosting Rose-Hulman on Saturday in their home opener.
