On Monday, the North Coast Athletic Conference named Kathryn Ruark the NCAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week following her performance in the conference tournament.
Ruark was instrumental in DePauw's two wins as they claimed the NCAC title and an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament
In the semifinal game against Wittenberg on Wednesday she hit the game-winner in double overtime as the Tigers advanced with a 2-1 win. Then on Saturday she scored an insurance goal en route to the team's 2-0 championship win against Denison.
For the week, she finished with four points and only took three shots. For the year, Ruark currently has five goals, one assist and 11 points.
Ruark is a sophomore from Oshkosh, Wisc. and a graduate from Oshkosh West.
Oddly enough, the Tigers are currently preparing for the NCAA Tournament where they will face Wisconsin-Oshkosh at Calvin College on Friday.
