Tigers Complete Weekend Sweep with 20-2 Win over Concordia Chicago

Greencastle, Ind. - Twelve different players scored as DePauw defeated Concordia-Chicago, 20-2, at Reavis Stadium. The Tigers improved to 4-8, while the Cougars dropped to 0-14.

DePauw scored the game's first six goals before Concordia closed the gap to 6-2. The Tigers, however, closed the half on a 6-0 run to grab a 12-2 halftime lead. The Tigers outscored the Cougars, 8-0, in the second half.

Emma Flynn paced the Tigers with four goals, while Maryclaire Heldring added three. Emilye Denny, Madi Lozanoski and Taylor Summers each added a pair. Sydney Fuller scored both goals for Concordia.

Maddie Allen saved four shots for the Tigers for her second win in goal this season. Melissa Franco recorded five saves for the Cougars.

DePauw held a 32-7 edge in shots and a 22-10 advantage in ground balls. Concordia held a 13-11 lead in draw controls as Fuller had eight. The Tigers were successful on all 16 clear attempts with Concordia succeeding on 5-of-11. DePauw totaled just 10 turnovers to the Cougars' 19.

The Tigers return to action on Tuesday, April 19, with a 7 p.m. game at Ohio Wesleyan.
