Sophomore guard Sydney Kopp (Burr Ridge, Ill./Hinsdale South) was recently named the North Coast Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
Kopp led the Tigers in scoring in consecutive conference wins over Hiram and Allegheny last week. She opened the week with a game-high 17 against Hiram and then poured in a game-high 27 against Allegheny, including 18 in the first quarter.
Against the Gators, Kopp hit all seven of her first-quarter field goal tries including four three-pointers. Kopp's 27 was two shy of her career best and included 5-of-7 shooting from three-point range. On the week, Kopp averaged 22 points on 64.5 percent shooting and 6.5 rebounds per game.
The Tigers are 6-1 overall and 2-0 in the NCAC and will travel to Wittenberg on Wednesday.
