Greencastle, Ind. - After finishing second in the North Coast Athletic Conference standings, six Tigers have been named to the league's all-conference teams including four on the first team.
Senior infielder Gabby Smart (Chicago, Ill./Trinity), junior outfielder Liz Getz (Bloomington, Ind./South), sophomore catcher Sidney Holler (Overland Park, Kan./Shawnee Mission South) and junior pitcher Emma Baldwin (Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park-River Forest) each landed a spot on the first team.
Smart, an honorable mention choice in 2014, hit a team-best .475 in conference games. Getz, who also earned first team distinction each of her first two years, batted .333 in conference play with team highs of 11 runs and eight stolen bases.
Holler repeated as a first team choice and led the Tigers with four homers and 17 RBI in the 16 NCAC contests, while batting .333. She also threw out four of 13 opposing runners attempting to steal. Baldwin posted a 3-2 conference record with four saves and a 0.88 earned run average, while holding opposing hitters to a .138 batting average and striking out 52 batters in 40 innings. She earned second team accolades in 2015 and first team last year.
Junior outfielder Megan Montgomery (Noblesville, Ind./Noblesville) was a second team selection after hitting .388 and sharing the team lead with Smart with 19 hits in NCAC contests. Sophomore pitcher Brooke Bandy (Elmhurst, Ill./York) was honorable mention with a 4-1 record and 2.12 earned run average in NCAC games. Opposing batters hit .197 against her.
The Tigers finished the season with a 13-3 NCAC record before winning the NCAC Tournament. DePauw heads into this weekend's NCAA Division III Regional with a 23-19 overall record. The NCAA appearance is DePauw's fourth straight and ninth in the last 11 years.
