Greencastle, Ind. - Nate Baker turned in a pair of top-four finishes to lead DePauw to a to 25 points and fifth-place after the first day of the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships at Blackstock Stadium. Ohio Wesleyan leads with 68 points, while Wabash had 66 and Allegheny 40.
Baker earned all-NCAC honors with a third-place finish in the hammer throw (47.45m/155-8) and also was fourth in the shot put (13.99m/45-10.75).
Jordan Booker qualified first for tomorrow's 400 meter finals after finishing in 49.54 seconds. Mohamed Gborie was third in the 200 meter prelims (22.57), while Chase Wright also qualified for the Saturday finals of the 100 meters after finishing eighth (10.97).
Competition wraps up on Saturday with field events starting at 10 a.m. and running events at 2:15 p.m. For more information please visit the host site.
