The DePauw men's tennis team was recently selected to finish second in the North Coast Athletic Conference Preseason Poll.
NCAC coaches unanimously selected Kenyon as the favorite with 81 points. The Lords have won nine straight conference titles.
DePauw was second with 68 points, and Denison was third with 64 points. Rounding out the poll was Oberlin (57), Allegheny (38), Wooster (29), Wabash (28), Ohio Wesleyan (22) and Wittenberg (18).
The Tigers are without Chris Bertolini and Eric Vannatta this year. Both graduated and both were named All-NCAC. However, they do return Alec Kaczkowski who garnered a second-team All-NCAC selection after a 13-8 (8-5 in singles) season.
The juniors bring back notable experience in Patrick Farrell (14-14 singles record, 18-10 doubles), Dan Rodefeld (12-15 singles record, 18-11 doubles) and Matt Santen (16-7 singles record, 4-2 doubles).
Last year, the Tigers finished second in the NCAC Championship for the third straight season. They finished ranked 33rd overall and with a record of 12-11.
