Tigers Move to 2-2 with Win over Wittenberg

Terre Haute, Ind. - DePauw, ranked 24th in the latest Division III coaches' poll, moved to 2-2 on the season following a 205-68 win over Wittenberg.

Sam McManus posted wins in the freestyle sprints, finishing in 21.78 seconds in the 50-yard and 47.73 in the 100. Kurt Swieter won the 200 free in 1:45.21 as did Adam Pircon in the 200 backstroke in 1:57.00 and Charlie Stewart-Bates in the 500 free in 4:49.39. Eric Addy was a double-winner in diving with 226.25 points on the one-meter board and 202.45 in three-meter competition.

The Tigers' 200 medley relay of Pircon, McManus, Ian Logan and Aidan Schurig won in 1:36.65, while the 200 free relay of Schurig, McManus, Sam Wagner and Swieter touched first in 1:26.21.

DePauw returns to action on Friday, January 12, when it hosts Rose-Hulman at 6 p.m.
