Greencastle, Ind. – The DePauw men's soccer team gets to keep on playing.
On Monday the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament bracket was released, and the Tigers made the cut, earning an at-large bid after an 11-3-4 season.
They will open the tournament Saturday (7:30 p.m. CT/8:30 p.m. ET) against Westminster (Mo.) (17-2) at Washington St. Louis. It will be the first meeting ever between the teams.
This will be DePauw's 11th appearance in the NCAA Tournament where they hold a 2-10 (.167) record. It also will be DePauw's first appearance since 2012 when they defeated Calvin 3-0 in the first round before losing to Dominican (IL) in the second round 2-1 in overtime.
Westminster is making its fourth appearance and third consecutive appearance, holding a 2-3 record.
The winner will face either No. 18 Washington St. Louis (11-4-3) or Millsaps (14-4) in the second round on Sunday.
