Tigers Extend Win Streak to Four with 20-7 Win over Hiram

Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw scored four goals in the opening five minutes and never trailed on the way to a 20-7 North Coast Athletic Conference win over Hiram. The Tigers moved to 7-8 overall and 4-2 in the NCAC with its fourth straight win, while the Terriers dropped to 6-7 overall and 1-5 in conference play. The four NCAC wins are the most in a season for the Tigers since the program first played a game in 2013.

Ben Davis scored four, while Quinn Roddy and Patrick Durnien each added three in the win. Nick Rollason paced Hiram with three scores and Tim Stucky added a pair.

Charlie Robson recorded five saves for DePauw with Joey Franklin stopping one shot. Hiram's Liam Osborne totaled 11 saves and Keagan Finegan had four.

The Tigers outshot the Terriers, 49-24 including 35-13 on goal. Matthew Braun won 13 of 19 faceoffs as the Tigers were 18 of 31 as a team and DePauw held a 44-24 edge in ground balls with Thomas Dye and Braun each totaling seven. Evan Pinney led the Terriers with six ground balls. 

DePauw had 17 turnovers to Hiram's 30 as Jack Eberle and Donny Bleifuss each caused three for the Tigers.

The Tigers return to action on Tuesday, April 17, when they travel to Ohio Wesleyan for a 6 p.m. game.
