Crawfordsville, Ind. - DePauw moved to 4-6 overall and 1-2 in the North Coast Athletic Conference following an 18-9 win at Wabash. The Little Giants dropped to 4-6 overall and 1-2 in the league.
The teams were tied 2-2 midway through the opening period before DePauw scored the final two goals of the quarter and the first three of the second to gain a 7-2 lead. After the teams exchanged scores, the Tigers took an 8-3 advantage into the halftime.
Wabash closed to within four in the third, but DePauw scored four of the final five goals of the period to take a 13-6 lead. The Little Giants again closed to within four before DePauw scored the game's final five goals.
Colline Brennan led Wabash with five scores with Steven Stark and Billy Bernhardt chipping in two each.
Scott Purucker led Wabash with six ground balls, while goalie Samuel Stewart totaled 11 saves.
DePauw outshot the Little Giants, 45-31, and held a 40-22 edge in ground balls.
The Tigers travel to Wooster on Saturday, April 9, for a 1 p.m. contest.
