Justin Tereshko joined the DePauw staff during the 2012-13 season after a successful stint as head women’s golf coach and interim men’s head golf coach at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama for the 2012 campaign.
In his position at DePauw, Tereshko is involved with assisting head coach Vince Lazar on all organizational matters, on-course coaching of student-athletes, recruiting and conducting and planning daily practice.
While at Huntingdon, Tereshko spearheaded the implementation of new practice and strength and conditioning program, dealt with recruiting prospective student-athletes, coaching duties at tournaments and the budgeting of the programs.
A 2012 graduate of Transylvania University, Tereshko graduated with a degree in exercise science while also being a member of the golf squad.
An accomplished collegiate golfer, Tereshko notched a variety of awards and accolades in his time in Lexington, helping his team achieve NCAA Championship berths and conference titles in four consecutive campaigns.
Individually, Tereshko led NCAA Division III in five categories in his senior year, including lowest scoring average, helping him garner a variety of recognition. He was named a two-time PING All-American, a three-time PING All-Great Lakes Region team member, a two-time PING All-Great Lakes Region player of the year, a three-time member of his all-conference squad, being named player of the year in 2012 and helped his team to a second-place finish at the NCAA Championship in his senior year.
In his time at Transylvania Tereshko was the Student Intramural Director from 2010-2012, handling all aspects of the men’s intramural program. He was responsible with scheduling all intramural events and referees, enforcing rules and regulations and setting up required fields and facilities for events.
