Krutchik Leads DePauw to Katman Klassic Title

Danville, Ind. - DePauw's Josh Krutchik shot a tournament-best 72 and led DePauw to a team total of 296 and the championship of the Katman Klassic at Twin Bridges Golf Club. Millikin was second with a 302.

Krutchik paced the 40-player field with an even-par round with three birdies and 12 pars. He finished one stroke ahead of teammate Quinn Smith and Franklin's Jacob Hash. Playing for DePauw's "B" team, Sean Steinman also shot a 73.

Jackson Mihevc tied for eighth with a 75, while Andrew Derringer tied for 11th with a 76 and Drake Dunaway tied for 25th with an 80.

DePauw's "B" team finished fifth with a 308 and were paced by Steinman, while Tim Graham shot a 74. Sam Karcher finished with an 80, while Evan Atkinson shot 81 and Abhishek Sambatur 82.

The Tigers return to action on March 24, when they face Arizona Christian in Phoenix, Ariz.
