Trio Combines for Six Goals in NCAC Win

Greencastle, Ind. -- Reilly Bruce, Corina Bourantas and Kate Milner each scored twice as DePauw got back in the win column Sunday with a 7-2 NCAC victory over Ohio Wesleyan.

It took 14 minutes to open scoring, but in a 7-minute span the Tigers went up 4-0.

Bruce and Milner scored back-to-back to start the game at 14:07 and 15:46. Paige Berliner assisted on the first goal and Bruce assisted on the second.

Milner then scored again at 19:19 off another assist from Berliner. Milner now has three goals on the season.

At 21:11, Bourantas got in on the action with her first goal of the game and of the season. Ohio Wesleyan got one back before the end of the half to make it a 4-1 game at halftime.

Tori Witteman scored at 48:55 after a rebound. Bourantas broke free for a goal soon after at 53:02 with an assist from Kelsey Doerr.

Ohio Wesleyan scored at 61:31 before Bruce capped the scoring at 65:48 off an assist from freshman Cathy Zesigner.

Another freshman, Hannah Metzger, got her first career start and received her first win after making three saves.

DePauw outshot Ohio Wesleyan 32-5. They also took eight penalty corners while holding to Battling Bishops to zero.

The Tigers are now 3-3 overall and 2-1 in the NCAC. Ohio Wesleyan is 2-4 overall and 0-3 in the conference.

DePauw is off until next weekend. They have a pair of away games against Oberlin and Wooster.
