Cleveland, Ohio – The DePauw field hockey team recently took home a number of conference honors after a season which saw them claim the North Coast Athletic Conference regular season title and an overall record of 17-4.
Junior forward Paige Berliner was named the NCAC Offensive Player of the Year after leading the conference during the regular season with 45 points and 19 goals. She tied with six other players for third in the league with seven assists.
Joining her on the All-NCAC first team is junior defender Maddy Burds and sophomore midfielder Rose Revolinski. In conference play both Burds and Revolinski tallied two goals while Revolinski tallied six assists and Burds tallied three.
Freshman Kate Milner was named the Newcomer of the Year along with her All-NCAC second team selection. Milner finished conference play with 36 points on 12 goals and 12 assists. She also tied for the league lead in game-winning goals (5) and was ninth among players with 64 total shots.
Furthermore, senior defender Sofia Carretero was an honorable mention. In conference play she tallied two assists.
Head coach Erika Dombkowski was voted the Coach of the Year for the first time in her career after leading the Tigers to their fourth NCAC title in program history with a 13-1 mark in conference play. The second year coach owns a 32-9 overall record and led the Tigers into the NCAA Tournament in 2015.
