Tigers Stay Undefeated in NCAC with 7-2 Win Over Oberlin

Oberlin, Ohio – Behind three goals from Paige Berliner and another two from Reilly Bruce, the DePauw field hockey team defeated Oberlin 7-2 on Sunday to remain undefeated in the North Coast Athletic Conference.

The win moves DePauw to 5-2 overall and 3-0 in the NCAC. Oberlin drops to 0-6 overall and 0-4 in conference play.

DePauw took a 4-0 lead before Oberlin could strike their first goal in the 23rd minute. Berliner, Bruce, Kate Milner and Erika Bell all scored within the first 21:30 of the game.

Oberlin closed the first half with two goals as DePauw led 4-2. They then shutout Oberlin in the second half 3-0 behind two goals from Berliner and another from Bruce.

Berliner and Bruce each recorded an assist. Milner recorded an assist on the first goal of the game and the last.

The Tigers outshot Oberlin 37-3 with 25 shots on goal. They also took 13 penalty corners to Oberlin's five.

Sarah Foye collected her second win over the weekend after recording two saves.

Next, the Tigers host Denison on Saturday in the team's home opener at noon.
