Hunt Takes Home Third NCAC Offensive Player of the Week Honors

If the Monon Bell wasn't enough, DePauw senior quarterback Matt Hunt was named the NCAC Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season.

Hunt (Indianapolis, Ind.) accounted for all five of the Tigers' touchdowns in the 37-34 victory at Wabash on Saturday as DePauw brought home the bell after a seven year losing streak. Hunt completed 19-of-35 pass attempts for 241 yards and two touchdowns.

Hunt sealed the victory with a 13-yard touchdown pass to his younger brother Andy with just 38 seconds remaining in the game. Matt also rushed 22 times for 159 yards, which included touchdowns on plays of four, 51 and 50 yards.

His 400 yards of offense were the most by a DePauw player in the Monon Bell game, and his 159 rushing yards were the most by a DePauw quarterback in the Bell game and fourth-best Monon Bell rushing game by a DePauw individual. DePauw finished their season at 8-2.
